I am currently a undergraduate student at a small college in the northeast United States writing about the what the media tells us every day. I am a biology major, studying to complete my B.S. and hopefully continue on to pharmacy school next fall. Anything I see on television, in a movie, or in literature that sparks my interest, I will likely share it on my blog. In particular, healthcare is everywhere in the media even in places we might not notice it. What can these representations of diseases, illnesses, doctors, patients, etc. tell us about what is realistic and what is not? How can we know if it is a true representation? Furthermore, how does television affect the minds of the viewers and influence their behavior and attitudes? Stay tuned…
